Bourgueil to Angers for Power

We woke in the morning in our little vineyard to a beautiful sunrise.

The dogs had a lovely time exploring the area whilst we enjoyed a cup of tea then fresh peaches and muesli. We now had no power (!) so we decided to pack up and head towards a campsite with hookup. Before we left we went back to the peach tree to gather a bag of windfalls then returned to Vincent and packed up. All in and ready to go BUT Mike realised his glasses were no longer on his head. Forty minutes later and at least 6 trips back to the peach tree they were recovered at the base of the tree. Good thing we were in no hurry!

So on leaving our vineyard we picked up some groceries in Bourgueil and headed towards Chouze-sur-Loire. We found the municiple campsite right next to the Loire. This was a great little low key site. We parked between two dutch couples who had dogs ( a little brown 'poo and a big black 'poo) and a French couple arrived later with a tiny tiny dog so they all had great fun making friends - Luna did try very hard and was just about accepted by the gang eventually. We also had a good chat with one of the dutch about BREXIT! When it had cooled down to the lower 20s we walked along the river towards the town.

In the morning after walking into town to get our bread and croissants we headed towards Angers. Mike had researched batteries and so we headed to the dealer - obviously getting there when they had closed for lunch! We drove around for a bit and found a lunch spot by a lake then drove back and a very nice French man sold us a new battery and fitted it for free. (Mike: ' so he should have done for the price). We then drove to the 'Slow Campsite' at Les Ponts-de-Ce as we had decided we would have hookup for a night to ensure the new battery was totally charged before we try another France Passion site. The most expensive campsite yet but great facilities - used the washing machine and helped ourselves to the free pick your own vegetables and herbs.
