Bruises and final views

We woke to a lovely morning so decided to explore by bike. The farm was just off the national cycle trail 78 so we plotted a great circular route - mostly off road but all on tarmac so a lot easier than the ride at Loch Ness. Sadly we had a bad start as I tried to push/negotiate my bike round the farmers parked car, which was blocking the road, and promptly fell into a bramble covered ditch. We then had to return to Vincent to clean me up before heading on our way. Luckily the ride was great with some beautiful scenery. The photos of areoplanes is Oban Airport.... apparently both BA and EasyJet visit but maybe with small planes! We did stop for a coffee and cake but the cafe was really busy, and the French lady trying to seat everyone was very stressed, so we ordered a take away, which seemed to take longer than sitting at a table and the it started to rain so we quickly drank our coffee had half the cake and saved the rest to have with our cup of tea when we got back to Vincent.

In the afternoon we took the dogs down to the beach and spent most of the time trying to stop Mitzi eating smelly seawood and dead crabs!

On Saturday we started our journey home and drove for four hours to the bottom of Scotland, to a certified location near Annan just along the coast from Gretna. The farm site was also a riding stables so lots of horses around. After plugging in Vincent we decided to head straight for the beach and had a lovely walk. The beach was massive and I would have loved to have taken Fitch on it for a gallop. We spent about an hour exploring before returning to Vincent for a cup of tea. I then fitted in a run before sunset. The geese were, again, flying in massive groups - probably the biggest we had seen which was lovely to watch in the setting sun. The national cycle trail 7 was nearby so we will definitly go back to explore the area more.

In the morning we got up early and took the dogs onto the beach briefly before leaving at 8.30 for the long drive home.

We fitted in a couple of stops and got back at 4.30 - not bad for driving over 390 miles.
