Northumberland - Day 1 - to Boroughbridge North Yorkshire
Well after much planning, and loading Vincent with new stuff - some nice (the Cadac BBQ), some useful but boring (the wing mirror protectors and the windscreen thermal guard) and some necessary (food) we managed to set off , with Mizti and Luna, at 9.15!
At 10.15, approaching the M25, Michael realised his wallet and phone were at home! So back we went to get them! A few comments of I think we have been here before were inevitable .
We left home again (!) just before 11 with fresh coffee and made good time to Northampton services on the M1. After quick stretch for all 4 of us, some freshly made sandwiches (the advantage of a fully equiped kitchen), we swapped drivers to Bridget and set off again.
We made the campsite in Boroughbridge just after 4pm.
After a quick walk about with the dogs and filling up with water we decided to walk into Boroughbridge. A bit of a busy road to walk down but the town was nice with quite a bit of history.
